Biographical Sketch: My name is Tao Fujioka. I work as a pediatric cardiology staff doctor at the Japanese Red Cross Medical Center in Tokyo. I am a certified Board of Specialist of Pediatrics by the Japan Pediatric Society, a pediatric cardiologist by the Japanese Society of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, and a fetal echocardiography specialist. After graduating from Tokyo Medical University in 2005, I began my pediatric career in 2007. From 2012, I trained as a pediatric cardiology fellow at Shizuoka Children’s Hospital and, from 2015, spent two years as a research fellow in Dr. Mark Friedberg’s Echo Lab at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. At the Japanese Red Cross Medical Center, I have focused on catheter interventions, honing my skills and deepening my appreciation for their significance and challenges. In my free time, I enjoy shopping with my wife and playing games with our three children.
