Biographical Sketch: Dr. Amponsah completed his Internal Medicine, Interventional Cariology, and Cardiovascular Disease fellowship at Rutgers University/Newark Beth Israel medical center, New Jersey and went on earn his Executive MBA in Healthcare from the University of Pittsburgh, PA
Dr. Amponsah is fellowship-trained in structural heart procedures including heart valves (TAVR), left atrial appendage occlusion (watchman), coronary artery stenting as well as management of peripheral arterial disease. He also diagnoses and treats the entire spectrum of adult cardiovascular diseases including coronary artery disease (heart attack), irregular heart rhythms, heart failure, hypertension, and high cholesterol
He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology, Adult Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Amponsah earned his medical degree from the K.N. University of Science and Technology in Ghana and is a physician equity partner with Cardiac Solutions - one of the largest private cardiology groups in the state of Arizona.
