Biographical Sketch: Islam Abudayyeh has a background in Physics and Epidemiology. He worked as a hospitalist prior to Cardiovascular diseases fellowship, Interventional Cardiology fellowship and a Structural Heart Disease fellowship.
In 2013 he joined as faculty at Loma Linda University and was the director of Interventional Cardiology, the director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship, the medical director of Structural Heart Disease and chairman of the research committee. In addition to other clinical and administrative responsibilities. He has experience in performing complex structural interventions, fellowship education and programmatic growth and development. He has since joined the VA Healthcare system and is Professor of Medicine.
His current research and work interests focus on valvular disease, hemodynamics, device development and clinical education.
