Biographical Sketch:
Completed interventional cardiology fellowship program ranking first among graduates in 2019. The only female interventional and academuc cardiologist in Iraq. Studying MSc in Clinical Trials at University of Oxford/NDPH after being awarded a scholarship from Oxford. Data collector and manager and a co-investigator in EuroObservational Research Program (EORP-NSTEMI) and PEACE MENA registries in both acute MI and acute HF arms. World Heart Federation Emerging Leader. Interested in upgrading skills in complex PCI, coronary imaging. Has special interest in quality improvement projects, conducted for the first time in Iraq the audit researches in cardiovascular medicine that focused on adherence to guidelines in NSTE-ACS, HF, device implantation in HF. Very interested in roadmaps and calls for action plans that focus on cardiac services in low-resources setting as well as healthcare disparities with especial focus on gender disparities in CVD. An advocate for role of women in cardiology.
