Biographical Sketch: Colleen joined UCM in 2012 in the department of Cardiac Surgery as a LVAD Coordinator. She completed a Master of Science in Education in 2013 then completed a Master of Science in Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018. Colleen moved in management as a Cardiac Surgery program manager in 2018 where she was overseeing operations, nursing and all advanced practice providers in the department. She then moved into a role as an Assistant Director for Advanced Practice Providers which expanded her scope to APPs throughout all of Heart and Vascular. Colleen helped develop a new reporting structure within HVC and started the plan to optimize all APPs allowing them to practice to the top of their license. She moved into the role as Executive Director, Heart and Vascular in May of 2021 and has helped Heart and Vascular strategically grow with a focus on outcomes, quality, recruitment and clinical excellence.
