Biographical Sketch: Dr. Cantey is an Assistant Professor in the Cardiovascular Medicine Division at the University of Michigan. After completing medical school at Tufts University, he completed his internal medicine residency at Northwestern University in Chicago, where he served as a chief internal medicine resident. Dr. Cantey continued his cardiovascular training at Northwestern, including subspecialty training in interventional cardiology and complex coronary disease.
At University of Michigan, he is the program director of BMC2-PCI, a partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan to improve the safety, quality and cost of PCI in the state of Michigan. Dr. Cantey's research interests include quality improvement in PCI and comparative effectiveness of cardiovascular therapies, particularly for complex coronary disease and cardiogenic shock.
