Biographical Sketch: Benjamin Kenigsberg, MD, is a critical care cardiologist at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., where is he the Co-Director of the Medical Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. Dr. Kenigsberg additionally works in the surgical cardiovascular intensive care unit and in the echocardiography lab, with a research focus on the hemodynamics of shock, mechanical circulatory support and cardiac arrest.
Dr. Kenigsberg received his medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine, followed by internship and residency at the University of Chicago in Internal Medicine. He then completed a fellowship in cardiology at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Georgetown University Hospital, in addition to a second fellowship in critical care medicine at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
