Biographical Sketch: Nasrien E. Ibrahim, MD, MPH is the founder and executive director of the nonprofit, The Equity in Heart Transplant Project, Inc, a 501(c)(3) public charity that provides financial assistance to patients with end-stage heart failure who need a transplant but cannot afford the out-of-pocket costs. Dr. Ibrahim is an advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and a member of the faculty at Harvard Medical School. She served as faculty at both the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School and Inova Heart and Vascular Institute. She then completed the Commonwealth Fund Fellowship in Minority Health Policy at Harvard University. Dr. Ibrahim graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Cincinnati, received her M.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, and her MPH in Health Policy from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
