Biographical Sketch: Ashesh N. Buch, MBChB, MD, FRCP, FSCAI is an interventional cardiologist at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center and Director of the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories. He is educated and trained in the UK, including a higher research degree in heart failure patients during dedicated time out of fellowship and additional interventional cardiology training from Washington Hospital Center, Washington DC. He was a Consultant Cardiologist at University Hospital Wales, Cardiff, UK after which he joined East Carolina University/Vidant Medical Center where he was Associate Professor with tenure. He joined Chesapeake Regional Medical Center in December 2022.
His clinical interests include complex PCI, coronary imaging, high risk PCI, coronary physiology, the interface between PCI and heart failure, cardiogenic shock and is passionate about teaching.
His research interests revolve around coronary physiology with a focus on novel interventional cardiology - CT surgery research and innovative approaches to coronary revascularization via collaborative work with cardiac surgeons.
