Learning Objectives:
  1. Develop skills in effectively utilizing limited assessment information for the management of shock patients.
  2. Identify the most critical laboratory tests and values for shock patients and determine the appropriate frequency for repeating them.
  3. Discriminate between cardiogenic shock (CS) and septic/mixed shock based on clinical presentation and diagnostic criteria.
  4. Implement apps and technology to enhance communication and facilitate care coordination in the management of shock patients.
  5. Formulate a plan of action for managing shock patients in the absence of access to a specialized shock team, considering available resources and best practices in critical care.
