Biographical Sketch: Anna E. Bortnick MD, PhD, MSc, FSCAI is Associate Professor and Program Director, Interventional Cardiology Fellowship in the Division of Cardiology at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. Her AHA and NIH-funded research is on biomarkers of aortic valve and mitral annular calcification and she has served on several NIH study sections for new therapeutics and devices. Her clinical expertise is in the treatment of calcific lesions, STEMI, shock and critical care cardiology. Additionally, Dr. Bortnick is the Co-Founder of the Montefiore Einstein MFM-Cardiology Joint Program which evaluates and treats women with cardiac risk and disease pre-, ante- and postpartum, engaging women in a lifetime of cardiovascular care.
