Biographical Sketch: Dr. Behnam Tehrani received his doctorate of medicine from George Washington University Medical Center. He stayed on at GW where he completed his residency and fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He currently serves as medical director of the cardiac catheterization laboratories at INOVA Heart and Vascular Institute in Falls Church, Virginia, and he specializes in the percutaneous management of complex coronary, pulmonary and peripheral vascular disease as well as cardiogenic shock. Dr. Tehrani is a core member of the Complex High Risk and Indicated Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (CHiP), Cardiogenic Shock and Pulmonary Embolism Response Team (PERT) teams at Inova Heart and Vascular Institute. Dr. Tehrani holds faculty positions as assistant clinical professor of medicine at GWU and Virginina Commonwealth University.
