Biographical Sketch: Dr. Albert Hicks is an Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiologist at the University of Maryland. He recently spent a good portion of his career in Texas where he held the following positions at Baylor Scott & White: Program & Medical Director of Cardiac Transplant program, Associate Program Director of the Cardiology Fellowship, and Director of Clinical Heart Failure. Dr. Hicks completed his medical degree and MPH at Temple University, residency and Chief Residency at Drexel, and General Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure fellowships at Johns Hopkins. His research passion is disparities in cardiovascular disease outcomes particularly in advanced heart failure.
