Biographical Sketch: Dr. Atreya attended Medical College at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University in India, and completed further training in the United States. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts-Baystate Medical Center. Dr. Atreya also obtained a Master’s in Public Health at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health and then went to the University of Michigan for fellowships in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Interventional Cardiology.
He then moved back to practice cardiac electrophysiology and interventional cardiology in India, and is actively involved in developing the mechanical circuatory support at AIG Institute of Cardiac Sciences and Research.
