Biographical Sketch: Dr. Ronald Baxter, MD, is a general surgery resident at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He completed his undergraduate training in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and continued at UAB for medical school. He has completed 3 years of his residency program and is now taking two years of dedicated research time during which he directs and designs clinical studies, works alongside engineers designing artificial intelligence programs for use in medicine, and pursues his interest in cardiovascular surgery. He aspires to make his lifelong career an ongoing collaboration between his clinical practices and research endeavors to better care for his patients by establishing novel techniques.
