Biographical Sketch: Dr. Paul M. Ridker is the Director of the Center for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Eugene Braunwald Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He is internationally recognized for pioneering research on the role of inflammation in cardiovascular disease, including the development of high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) as a biomarker for heart attack and stroke risk. Dr. Ridker’s work has led to groundbreaking clinical trials, such as the JUPITER and CANTOS studies, which demonstrated the benefits of anti-inflammatory therapies in cardiovascular prevention. He has authored over 500 peer-reviewed publications and holds appointments at both Harvard Medical School and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. A graduate of Harvard Medical School and the Harvard School of Public Health, Dr. Ridker is among the most cited researchers in cardiovascular medicine worldwide.
