Biographical Sketch:
Arvind Bhimaraj, MD, MPH, FACC, FHFSA, is a nationally recognized advanced heart failure and transplant cardiologist and the System Director of Advanced Heart Failure at Houston Methodist. He also leads the Bradley Z. Naifeh Amyloidosis Clinical and Research Program and Heart Failure Disease Management Services, driving quality improvement and interdisciplinary care. Trained at Gandhi Medical College, the University of Kansas, Drexel University, Cook County Hospital, and the Cleveland Clinic, he joined Houston Methodist in 2011 and has since held key leadership roles, including Interim Chief of Heart Failure and Medical Director of Heart Transplant and LVAD Programs. He has pioneered quality and data infrastructures, EPIC-based phenotypic-genotypic registries, and emerging AI applications in heart failure. An active investigator, he leads NIH-, DoD-, and industry-funded studies in myocardial recovery, graft failure, nano-therapeutics, and cardiogenic shock. A national educator and international collaborator, he continues to shape heart failure care, systems, and research globally.
