Alessia Callegari, MD

Biographical Sketch: My name is Alessia Callegari and I completed my medical studies at the University of Padua (Italy) in 2015. During my studies I explored different educational settings (USA, Germany, India, Indonesia) before settling in Switzerland in 2016 where I completed my training in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology at University Children’s Hospital of Zurich. Since the end of my training in 2023 I work as fellow in the cath lab of the Hôpital Universitaire Necker-Enfants maladies (Paris). Through my training I designed and have been actively involved in several clinical research projects, especially focusing on patients with a single ventricle. Since I believe in the value of structured medical research and education, I decided to study for a medical educational master (MSc HPE, University College London). Playing an active role in improving and developing medical education represents one of my goals and I am passionate about teaching and supporting younger colleagues.
