Biographical Sketch: Michael Dyal, MD FSCAI, is an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where he completed medical school and all of his training. He does most of his clinical work at the Miami VA Medical Center where he started their structural heart disease program bringing TAVR and other structural and high risk coronary interventions to the Veterans of South Florida. His academic interests are rooted in medical education. He directs the first year medical student’s cardiovascular course and is responsible for developing the Miller School’s NextGenMD cardiovascular curriculum, which launched in the 2020-2021 academic year. On the GME level, Michael recently became the program director for the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital Interventional Cardiology Fellowship and is dedicated to bringing pedagogical curriculum changes to post-graduate education that he learned from his experience with the medical school.
