Breakfast Program: Femoral Access Site Management

Led by SCAI faculty member and experienced Perclose practitioner Dr. Peter Monteleone, fellows will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of best practices in femoral access site management. The symposium will begin with key access site considerations and the latest trends in the use of ultrasound guided access. Next, Dr. Monteleone will cover several options for achieving hemostasis post-procedure including manual compression, FO8 and vessel closure devices. Finally, Dr. Monteleone will dive deeper into a discussion of Perclose deployment techniques and troubleshooting before ending the session with an opportunity for hands-on practice and guidance.
