Biographical Sketch: Dr. Mariel Turner is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Columbia University Medical Center. She received her undergraduate degree from Smith College, and her medical degree from NYU School of Medicine. She completed Pediatrics residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital, followed by Pediatric Cardiology fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center, serving as one of the chief fellows in 2010-11. She then went on to advanced training in Pediatric Interventional Cardiology, also at CUMC, prior to joining the faculty in 2012.
Dr. Turner specializes in pediatric cardiac catheterization and transcatheter interventions. She holds board certifications in Pediatrics, Pediatric Cardiology, and Adult Congenital Heart Disease. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Cardiology, the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, the and Pediatric and Congenital Interventional Cardiovascular Society.
