Biographical Sketch: Steven J. Filby, MD is the director of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Cleveland Medical Center, University Hospitals, associate program director for the interventional cardiology fellowship training program and assistant professor of medicine at Case Western Reserve University. He previously served as director of the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program and chief of cardiology at FirstHealth of the Carolinas.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Dr. Filby graduated from Harvard University with honors and obtained his medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed his internal medicine residency at Stanford University Hospital and cardiology fellowship at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Dr. Filby then completed a 2 year advanced fellowship in interventional cardiology, peripheral, and structural intervention at the Cleveland Clinic.
