Biographical Sketch: Creighton W. Don, MD, PhD. Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington. Section Head of Cardiology at the Puget Sound VA Medical Center.
I am an Interventional Cardiologist/Structural Heart Interventionalist, and have been actively involved in the full range of structural heart and transcatheter valvular interventions and clinical trials of emerging devices over the past 10 years. I also have an interest in treatments for refractory/recurrent in-stent restenosis. I have been studying outcomes of acute valvular interventions in cardiogenic shock, and I am currently looking at ways to use cardiac CT to evaluate patients for LAA occlusion and help simplify the procedure.
