Learning Objectives:
  1. Recognize how adequate lesion preparation is critical not only to device delivery but additionally to adequate stent expansion, which is associated with both short term and long term efficacy of stent technologies.
  2. Assess treatment strategies for calcific coronary artery lesions using intravascular imaging.
  3. Utilize adjunctive strategies, including specialty balloons and atherectomy devices, for specific roles, taking into consideration the unique technical considerations for the treatment of calcific coronary artery lesions.
