Hildner Lecture: How Vascular Biology and Quantum Dynamics Drove A Revolution in Cardiovascular Sciences & Intervention
In this lecture, Dr. Elazer R. Edelman will explore how advances in vascular and endothelial biology—viewed through the lens of continuum and quantum dynamics—have fundamentally reshaped cardiovascular science and intervention. He will highlight how integrating principles from physics, engineering, and biology transformed the understanding of blood vessels from passive conduits into dynamic, multiscale systems, accelerating innovation in cardiovascular devices, therapies, and clinical outcomes. Above all he will explain how such a paradigm fits within the vision of SCAI and the contributions our community has made to all these fields.
