Biographical Sketch:
After completing his interventional cardiology fellowship at the Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne, Australia, Dr. Jeannot Potvin joined the cardiology service at the Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM) in 2012. In addition to the treatment of coronary artery disease, his areas of interest include the transcatheter approach to various structural heart diseases (valvular disease, obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, atrial shunts, left atrial appendage occlusion, and paravalvular leaks), procedural guidance using intracardiac echocardiography, and the preclinical evaluation in animals of various catheter-implantable medical devices. He is a clinical research associate at the CHUM Research Centre and has held the positions of medical director of the cardiac intensive care unit and co-director of the transcatheter structural interventions program at CHUM since 2014.
