Biographical Sketch: Dr. Zeeshan Ahmed is an interventional cardiologist and clinician educator at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI) and an assistant professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa. He completed residencies in internal medicine and cardiology at McMaster University, followed by a fellowship in interventional cardiology during which he also served as a clinical scholar at the Hamilton General Hospital. Thereafter, he completed a second interventional cardiology fellowship at the UOHI with focused training in intravascular imaging, coronary physiology, and chronic total occlusion percutaneous coronary intervention. He is the interventional cardiology fellowship program director at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and holds a Masters in health professions education from Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
