Biographical Sketch: Dr. Lauren Balkan is a current Interventional Cardiology fellow at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and an incoming advanced fellow in complex and high‑risk interventional procedures and chronic total occlusions (CHIP/CTO) for the 2026–2027 academic year. Originally from New York, she completed medical school at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, followed by an Internal Medicine residency at NewYork‑Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine, where she served an additional year as Chief Resident. She subsequently moved to Boston for general and interventional cardiology fellowships at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
