Biographical Sketch: Interventional cardiologist at Montreal Heart Institute and Full Professor at the University of Montreal. Training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology followed by fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Montreal Heart. Advanced subspecialty training at Brigham and Women's Hospital at Harvard University in Boston.
Multiple distinctions, including Professor of the Year twice by the Department of Medicine at the University of Montreal. Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit and later Director of the Structural Heart Disease Program. Also acted as an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (2013–2016).
A clinician-scientist, Dr. Ibrahim has led numerous research projects as principal investigator, authored over 140 peer-reviewed publications, and delivered many presentations. He has co-directed major international congresses, including the LAA Summit in Europe and APCASH in Asia, and has performed multiple live cases for educational broadcasts and proctorships. His primary interest include structural heart diseases.
