Biographical Sketch: Dr. Carman is the Director, Vascular Medicine, University Hospitals Case Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed internship at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville and residency in internal medicine at Cleveland Clinic Florida. Her subspecialty training has included a clinical research fellowships in Vascular Medicine and Clinical Thrombosis at Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Carman is board certified in Internal Medicine and a Diplomat of the American Board of Vascular Medicine. In addition to a busy clinical practice she is active in resident and fellow education. Her research interests parallel her training in clinical thrombosis, venous and arterial disease and wound care. She is currently serving as the Vice-chair for the Alliance of Physician Certification & Advancement (APCA). She is also a Director for the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.
