Biographical Sketch: Dr. Kais Al Balbissi, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and an Interventional Cardiology Consultant. He is the Assistant Dean of Medicine for Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Jordan and Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Jordan Cardiac Society.
Dr. Al Balbissi graduated with honors from Jordan University of Science and Technology, completing his internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) and an interventional cardiology fellowship at Mayo Clinic. He held key leadership roles at ETSU, JUST, and the University of Jordan, improving medical education and training programs.
With extensive experience in quality improvement, he established Abdali Medical Center’s cardiology department as a center of excellence. A dedicated educator and researcher, his work focuses on interventional cardiology and structural heart disease. He has received multiple prestigious awards for his contributions to medical education and cardiology.
