Biographical Sketch: Matt Sibbald MD MHPE MSc PhD FRCPC is an interventional cardiologist and Associate Professor at McMaster University, where he also serves as Associate Dean, Undergraduate Medical Education. His clinical practice focuses on contemporary coronary care—particularly intravascular imaging–guided PCI, INOCA, and coronary CT—with a parallel academic program as an educational scientist. He holds a master’s and PhD in medical education and leads research on cognitive load and how clinicians make complex, high-stakes decisions at the bedside and in the cath lab. Nationally, he is Chair of the Royal College Area of Focused Competency Committee for Interventional Cardiology and serves as the education representative on the board of the Canadian Association of Interventional Cardiology (CAIC).
