Biographical Sketch: Dr. Mohammad Almutawa is a graduate of the University of Aberdeen. He completed his Core Internal Medicine training and subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology at the University of Alberta, followed by advanced fellowship training in Complex High-Risk Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (CHIP/CTO) at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast, UK.
Dr. Almutawa’s clinical expertise includes the management of chronic total occlusions (CTO), cardiogenic shock, left main coronary artery PCI, and coronary calcium modification. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, where he is actively involved in clinical trials, teaching, and academic leadership.
