Biographical Sketch: Craig A. Thompson, MD, MMSc. is Director of Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac
Catheterization Laboratories for the Hartford Healthcare Heart and Vascular Institute. He previously was Director of Interventional Cardiology for NYU Langone Health System, and Professor of Medicine
with New York University. He previously served as Senior Vice President
and Global Chief Medical Officer, Interventional Cardiology and Structural Heart for Boston Scientific. He served as Director of Invasive Cardiology and Vascular Medicine with Yale University/Yale New Haven Hospital, Consultant (Hon)-London Chest Hospital and the Heart Hospital, University College, London, and Director, Cardiovascular Catheterization at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He has numerous peer reviewed publications and is the Editor-In-Chief of the “Textbook of Cardiovascular Intervention” (Springer 2014). Dr. Thompson received training in Interventional Cardiology/Vascular Medicine at MGH/Harvard Medical School, Cardiology at BWH-Harvard Medical School, Medicine at the University of Mississippi, and a MMSc in Clinical
Investigation from MIT-Harvard Medical School.
