Biographical Sketch: Dr. Konstantin Averin, MD, MSc, FSCAI, is the Director of the Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Cohen Children’s Medical Center, part of Northwell Health in New York, and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
A Pediatric Interventional Cardiologist, Dr. Averin’s clinical and research interests focus on transcatheter therapies for congenital heart disease, with particular expertise in single-ventricle physiology, Fontan circulation, and hybrid and neonatal interventions. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, contributed to multicenter research collaborations, and is an active member of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) and the Pediatric and Congenital Interventional Cardiovascular Society (PICES).
Dr. Averin is dedicated to advancing innovation, quality, and education in congenital cardiology, fostering collaboration to improve outcomes for children with complex heart disease.
