Workshop on the Treatment of Pulmonary Embolism: Optimal Procedural Techniques With Common Complications and Troubleshooting (CME)

This session will provide a comprehensive overview of embolectomy and catheter-directed lysis (CDL) techniques. It will detail thrombectomy options and procedural aspects, including patient assessment, imaging review, hemodynamics, and step-by-step procedures. Additionally, faculty will address troubleshooting and managing complications such as hemodynamic decompensation and pulmonary artery injury during embolectomy, as well as access site bleeding and intracranial hemorrhage during CDL. We will equip practitioners with the knowledge to effectively perform and manage these interventions, including patient assessment, imaging review, hemodynamics, lytic dosing, and step-by-step procedures for CDL.
