2025 Scientific Sessions

Workshop on the Treatment of Pulmonary Embolism: PE—The Disease (CME)

This session will address critical gaps in current risk stratification framework for pulmonary embolism (PE). Faculty will also explore advanced CT techniques to differentiate acute from chronic clots, identify markers of right ventricular (RV) dysfunction, and assess perfusion. Additionally, it will cover comprehensive methods for evaluating RV function using echocardiography and invasive hemodynamics. Discussions will include the structure and referral processes of Pulmonary Embolism Response Teams (PERT) and the economic aspects of operator billing, coding, and hospital finances related to PE interventions.
