Biographical Sketch: Dr. Karol Watson is a Professor of Medicine/Cardiology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and serves as the Director of the UCLA Barbra Streisand Women's Heart Health Program. She is also the Co-director of the UCLA Program in Preventive Cardiology and holds the John Mazziotta, M.D., Ph.D. Endowed Chair in Medicine. Dr. Watson is a principal investigator for several large National Institutes of Health research studies and is recognized for her contributions to preventive cardiology and cardiovascular risk assessment.
