Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Robert Liotta, M.D. is an Assistant Professor of Radiology within the Department of Radiology and Cardiothoracic Imaging Division at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Liotta is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine in 2001, completed his residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland in 2009, and completed fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Radiology at the University of Michigan in 2011. After 25 years of military service as a Navy Physician and Radiologist, Dr. Liotta joined the Department of Radiology at the University of Pittsburgh in 2022. Dr. Liotta is certified by the American Board of Radiology, and his research interests include advanced CT and MR applications involving lung cancer screening, interstitial lung disease, emphysema, and cardiovascular imaging.
