Biographical Sketch: Dr. William C.L. Yip, MBBS, MMed (Paediatrics), MD (Singapore), MRCP (UK), DCH (London), FRCP (Edinburgh), FAM (Singapore), is currently an Adjunct Professor, National University of Singapore; Visiting Consultant, National University Hospital; Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist, Gleneagles Hospital; and Director of International Child & Adolescent Clinic, Singapore. He established the paediatric echocardiography, foetal cardiology and interventional cardiology services in Singapore. He was head of the Division of Paediatric Cardiac Service, proctoring many cardiac fellows and cardiologists, including the current head of division. Together with cardiac surgeons, he supported the surgical service, from its infancy in 1970s to the current full complement in NUH. He was advisor to the establishment of ACHD service in Singapore & co-founded the Asian Pacific Society of Paediatric Cardiology in 2004. He is the recipient of the following lectureships: Haridas Memorial Lecture, Singapore Cardiac Society Lecture, NUH Grand Round Lecture, College of Paediatrics Lecture, William B. Strong Lecture.
