Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Umair S Ahmad is an Interventional and Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist and Asst Prof. at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, in Columbus Ohio. He earned his degree from Stony Brook University, completed Internal Medicine residency and served as Chief Resident at Rutgers University, and pursued fellowships in Cardiovascular Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, and Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology at The Ohio State University. Following three years of practice at Summa Health in Akron, he returned to OSU, where he combines high-acuity clinical care with a commitment to underserved populations. Dr. Ahmad is passionate about access to compassionate, evidence-based care, and remains active in procedural innovation, access to specialized cardiac care, health systems improvement, and training / mentoring the next generation of cardiologists.
