Biographical Sketch: David G. Rizik, MD, MSCAI, FACC is the Health System Chief of Cardiovascular Service Line at Banner University Medicine, Scottsdale, Arizona. Dr. Rizik has been active in clinical research, physician leadership and teaching throughout his career, most recently serving as chief scientific officer, pillar chief of cardiology, director of structural and coronary interventions, heart group medical director and interventional cardiology disease fellowship program director at HonorHealth.
Dr. Rizik completed medical school at St. Louis University School of Medicine, followed by his residency at Washington University School of Medicine/Barnes Hospital, also in St. Louis. He completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at William Beaumont Hospital in his home state, Michigan. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. A distinguished researcher in interventional cardiology and structural heart disease, Dr. Rizik has published more than 200 peer-reviewed journals and is a designated Interventionalist Master of SCAI.
