Biographical Sketch: Dr. Rajiv Mishra, California Department of Public Health, has a Ph.D. in Physiology/Biotechnology. He has written peer reviewed scientific research papers, book chapters and conference presentations while working as an adjunct faculty at University of California, Davis. Two US patents and one international patent were filed from his research.
As the Section Chief of Certification Section in Radiologic Health Branch of CDPH, he directs staff of Health Physicists and support staff determining training adequacy for Radiologic Technologists, Physicians, Podiatrists, Orthopedic Surgeons, and X-ray Technicians, verifying individual applicants for certification, ensuring that individuals requesting authority to use X-ray radiation are knowledgeable in their area of expertise; and confirming adequacy of formal and informal training. His Section also Reviews Radiologic schools’ study material and examinations to assure minimum competency. Currently, he is the Chairman of CA Radiologic Technology Certification Committee (RTCC).
