Biographical Sketch: Dr. Aishwarya Raja is a third year internal medicine resident at Columbia-New York Presbyterian Hospital. She completed medical school at Mount Sinai. In 2019, Dr. Raja took a gap year to complete the Sarnoff Cardiovascular Fellowship. Under the guidance of Dr. Eric Secemsky and Dr. Robert Yeh at the Smith Center for Outcomes Research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, she pursued research on health quality and clinical outcomes related to peripheral artery disease with a focus on health equity. This year, Dr. Raja will be starting her general cardiology fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital. Her academic and career interests include working with underserved patients, building a procedural career within interventional cardiology, and conducting research aimed at improving access to and quality of cardiovascular care.
