Biographical Sketch: Christine Prater is a registered nurse with more than 30 years of experience in critical care and industry. For the past 18 years, she has focused on intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) therapy at Getinge (formerly Datascope), where she serves as Senior Global Clinical Marketing Manager for Cardiac Assist. In this role, she develops educational programs and organizes physician peer-to-peer initiatives that promote collaboration and knowledge sharing in the management of cardiogenic shock.
Christine began her career as a critical care and flight nurse before transitioning to industry, where she has continued to advocate for practical, bedside-based education. Her experience and long-standing focus on IABP therapy have shaped her understanding of real-world challenges in mechanical circulatory support.
