Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Victoria Thomas is an Interventional Cardiology Fellow at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) where she recently completed her general cardiology fellowship. She completed her undergraduate education at University of Tennessee, her medical education at University of Chicago-Pritzker School of Medicine followed by her internal medicine residency at Indiana University. In May, she will be graduating with a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. Thomas is the recipient of several local, regional, and national awards including being elected to the Gold Humanism Honor Society and a recipient of the 2022 Merck-ACC/ABC Research Award. She recently won the 2023 American Heart Association’s Jay D. Coffman Early Career Investigator Award. After completing her interventional cardiology fellowship, Dr. Thomas will join Ascension Saint Thomas Heart in Nashville, TN. Her work will center on community engagement in prevention and optimization of coronary and peripheral artery disease.
