Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Seyed Hossein Aalaei Andabili is an interventional and structural cardiologist and faculty member at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. His clinical practice focuses on complex coronary interventions and advanced structural heart disease therapies, with particular expertise in transcatheter mitral and tricuspid valve interventions. Dr. Andabili has a strong interest in leaflet modification techniques, transcatheter edge-to-edge repair, and emerging transcatheter valve replacement technologies. He has pursued advanced international training in high-volume centers to refine procedural strategies for challenging mitral and tricuspid anatomies, with the goal of safely expanding treatment options for high-risk patients. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Andabili is actively engaged in academic medicine, with interests in imaging-guided interventions, outcomes research, and innovation in structural heart therapies. He is passionate about multidisciplinary collaboration, physician education, and mentoring the next generation of interventional cardiologists while advancing cutting-edge, patient-centered cardiovascular care.
