Biographical Sketch: Harsh Golwala, MD, FSCAI is an interventional cardiologist at Knight Cardiovascular Institute and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), Portland, OR. He serves as the Fellowship Director for Advanced Structural Heart Diseases Fellowship. In his role, he also oversees the TAVR and LAA occlusion programs at OHSU. He has led several pivotal trials involving the transcatheter heart valve space at OHSU including but not limited to PROTECTED TAVR, ALIGN AR, MITRAL II, EXPAND II, CORCINCH-HF and EMPOWER trials. He also has previously served as an Associate Editor for the prestigious European Heart Journal: Quality of Care and Outcomes. Nationally he serves on the eligibility review committee of various device related trials, as well as on leadership councils for Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Intervention.
