Biographical Sketch: Dr. Ankitkumar Patel, MD, MPH, FACC, FSCAI, RVPI is an interventional cardiologist and the director of the Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories and Structural Heart Center. His expertise in radial artery access, complex PCI and TAVR brings patients from the tristate area. He has a particular interest in preventive cardiovascular care and utilizing technology for risk factor modification. Specifically, he has an interest in noninvasive coronary imaging (CCTA) and innovative technologies and artificial intelligence.
He is the course director for the Cardiovascular Elective for medical students at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine. He serves as core teaching faculty for the Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology and Structural Heart fellowships. Since 2020, he has organized and co-moderated the weekly Joint Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Lecture Series, which has national and international speakers. He serves as primary investigator or co-investigator on: EVOID-AS, Impella-ECP, STEMI-DTU, Protect IV trials, EVOLVE-MI.
