Biographical Sketch: Samit Shah is an Interventional Cardiologist who specializes in the invasive evaluation of coronary artery disease, coronary physiology, and complex coronary interventions.
He was an undergraduate at the Pennsylvania State University and went to medical school at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, where he graduated with a medical doctorate as well as a PhD in Neuroscience. He subsequently completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital, followed by clinical fellowships in Cardiovascular Medicine, Peripheral Vascular Interventions, and Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Shah has received numerous honors for patient care and education, including the Dr. Lynda Rosenfeld Cardiology Fellowship Teacher of the Year Award, Wendy U. and Thomas C. Naratil Pioneer Award, and Yale Internal Medicine Excellence in Outpatient Care Award. In 2023, he was recognized by SCAI as a "30 in their 30's" award recipient for professional excellence in interventional cardiology.
